The Learning to Teach Online project is a free professional development resource designed to help teachers from any discipline, whether experienced in online teaching or not, to gain a working understanding of successful online teaching pedagogies that they can apply in their own unique teaching situations.

This workshop adopts a round table discussion format where participants will:

  • Discuss the key factors of online communication
  • Apply effective facilitation strategies to guide student learning
  • Resolve student communication issues with appropriate strategies
  • Locate additional resources on online communication

This workshop adopts a round table discussion format where participants will explore:

  • The pedagogic goals of collaborative activities;
  • The varied forms that online collaboration can take;
  • Key issues and challenges involved in online facilitation; and
  • Strategies and tips for enhancing student collaboration online.
