Professional development
Curtin Teaching and Learning provides a range of professional development (PD) programs and workshops for a variety of roles within the university. Depending on your role, and what stage you are at in your career (early, mid or experienced), you may be required to complete/fulfil particular PD activities.
PD activities are more applicable to some roles and career stages than others, and sometimes you might not be sure where to begin. As a start, we have created role driven PD activity guides to help you through the process of finding what is important to you.
Answer this.. within my role I am:
Teaching as a sessional
Teaching in a course
Coordinating a unit
Coordinating a course
Alternatively you can look at PD programs for areas of interest or to explore what's on offer.
Throughout the year, teaching and learning seminars and workshops are offered both on campus and at other locations and universities by visiting scholars, project teams and representatives from the Australian Government Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT).
